Travel Review: Turks and Caicos

Close your eyes and imagine the most magical island you could ever dream of...

Beautiful sand, calm waves, strong sunshine, clean air, clear water…..a dream come true.

That is Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos. I’ve seen oceans and I’ve been to a variety of beaches around the world but nothing can quite compare to Turks and Caicos.

Where is it?

Located just south southeast of Miami Florida, Turks and Caicos is situated in the Atlantic Ocean between the Bahamas and The Dominican Republic.

Thomas and I went for our honeymoon and had the time of our lives, so I’ll give as much information as possible from our perspective.

Our journey began with a quick flight to Miami, and then on to our final destination Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.

First stop: FOOD!

I’m not a fish person, but the fish on this island is incomparable. I had never had grouper before this day, but the Pecan Crusted Grouper was to die for. Mr. Groupers was a small establishment that wasn’t crowded & the food and drinks were amazing! Click here to see more about their restaurant.

After checking into the hotel we went and grabbed swimsuits and ran to the beach, after all, that was the reason we came to an island…WATER!

Beaches, Sand and Sun…the water is amazing, honestly there’s nothing like it.

City Life and Shopping

The actual city center in the Grace bay area of Providenciales is small and quaint. There are other shops and things en route to the airport but the “tourist area” is comprised of a few shops, a grocery store, and small eateries.

Stay tuned for part 2!
