Entryway Makeover

The Little Entryway that could….

Our entryway, like most spaces in our home, has been a struggle for me to decorate. It began as a space that was decorated with our previous home furnishings. The space was veryyyyy blah.

Our previous home was actually a combination of very dated metallic’s and highly specific items. I knew I wanted something different for this home and after three years I’ve finally figured out the perfect items.

It began with the ideas for the table. The gold mirrored table (insert cringe face emoji) had to GO! We sold this table on Facebook Marketplace so that I could make room for the next showstopper.

The idea for the table came about after becoming #QuarantineObsessed with home décor and Restoration Hardware. I found some of my new favorite RH YouTubers and found an obsession with this simplistic entryway table.

My husband has a woodworker who is, HIGHLY unreliable. 0 out of 10, would not recommend. BUT the space was a unique size and store bought tables would not work, I also could not find one with the stain color that I wanted so we reached out to him in the middle of August to get the table made.

Then it came time to stain it. We used a mixture of 3 stains. White, Walnut, and Ebony stain. We used the white first, followed by walnut, then used the ebony to add in an element of warmth & depth. This allowed me to achieve the color that we originally wanted the table to have.

This was a total trial and error process, but it turned out so well.
